| John Huxley Position: Chairman of the Board Mr. Huxley is currently an independent director of Kinross, which position he has held since 1993. From 1997 to 2006 Mr. Huxley was a principal of Algonquin Management Inc., the manager of Algonquin Power Income Fund. Prior to that, Mr. Huxley was the President of Algonquin Power Corporation, a builder, developer and generator of hydro electric generating facilities in Canada and the United States. Mr. Huxley holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School (1970). Mr. Huxley is a member of the Audit Committee and Corporate Governance, Nominating and Compensation Committee. | |
| Patrick Downey Position: President, Chief Executive Officer and Director Mr. Downey was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Elgin Mining Inc. in July 2011 bringing with him over 30 years of international experience in the resource industry. Prior to joining Elgin Mining Inc. Mr. Downey held the position of President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Aura Minerals Inc. Mr. Downey was President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Viceroy Exploration Ltd. before its acquisition by Yamana Gold Inc. in 2006 for $600 million. Mr. Downey also served as President of Oliver Gold Corporation, where he negotiated the successful merger to form Canico Resource Corp., which was purchased by CVRD in 2006 for over $800 million. He has held numerous senior engineering positions at several large-scale gold mining operations and has also held operating positions at several mining projects for Anglo American Corporation in South Africa. | |
| Robert Buchan Position: Director Mr. Buchan has over 35 years of experience in the North American mining sector. He was founder and President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinross Gold Corporation until 2005. Mr. Buchan is also the Executive Chairman of Allied Nevada Gold. | Glen Dickson Position: Director Mr. Dickson was most recently Chairman of the Board of Gold-Ore Resources prior to the merger with Elgin Mining. Prior to that, Mr. Dickson was President and Director of Cumberland Resources Ltd., and under his stewardship, Cumberland became one of the premier gold explorers in Nunavut. He is directly responsible for the acquisition and discovery of two multi-million ounce gold deposits in the Nunavut. As a field geologist Glen thrived on prospecting and now brings those years of pragmatic experience to the boardroom. Glen brings business skills that have been well honed over the last 35 years. | |
| Ron Ewing Position: Director Mr. Ewing was a founding principal of Gold-Ore Resources and served as an Executive Officer from 1996 until 2002 and from 2008 until the merger with Elgin Mining. Ron was involved with EuroZinc, as an Executive Officer, from its inception in 1999 until it became a mid-tier base metal producer and merged with Lundin Mining in 2006. Mr. Ewing has over 25 years of experience in the management, administration and financing of both public and private companies. | |
| David Mullen Position: Director Mr. Mullen was a director of Gold-Ore Resources and brings valuable financial expertise to the Board. He is Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Capital (Canada) Inc., the merchant-banking subsidiary of the Bank of Hong Kong. His background lies in corporate debt and finance and prior to joining HSBC, Dave served as Vice President of Corporate Finance with Citibank Canada for 4 years. | |
| A. Murray Sinclair Position: Director Mr. Sinclair is currently the Chairman and a director of Sprott Lending Corp. In addition, Mr. Sinclair was the former President & Chief Executive Officer of Quest Capital Corp. Mr. Sinclair has extensive knowledge in areas of asset backed lending, real estate, corporate restructuring and natural resources. He is also a director and officer of several other public companies. Mr. Sinclair received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University (1984). | |
| Ravi Sood Position: Director Mr. Sood is the Chairman of Galane Gold Ltd., a junior gold producing company and Feronia Inc., a plantations and arable farming company. From 2004 until 2010 Mr. Sood was the Chief Executive Officer of Navina Asset Management Inc., a specialized global asset management firm. Mr. Sood holds a Bachelor of Mathematics with distinction from the University of Waterloo (1998). | Bob Wardell Position: Director Mr. Wardell is currently Chairman of Nuinsco Resources Ltd. Mr. Wardell served as the Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Victory Nickel Inc., from February 1, 2007 to January, 2009. From 2006 to 2007, Mr. Wardell was self-employed as an accounting and finance consultant. From 1986 to 2006 he was a senior audit partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Wardell is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Mr. Wardell also serves as a director of Katanga Mining Limited, Allied Nevada Gold Corp., and Centric Health Corporation. Mr. Wardell is a member of the Audit Committee and Corporate Governance, Nominating and Compensation Committee. |
